Guatemala, Tikal: Dia de la Raza
Dia de la Raza (Day of the Race)- Columbus Day, in October 12 celebrates Cristopher Columbus arrival in the Americas or first encounters between Native Americans and Europeans. In some Latin America countries it is celebrated as Day of Indigenous Resistance.

These girls are of Tzutujil ethnic group, they are wearing Tocoyal- traditional red cotton hat, wrapped around head thus showing their connection to the moon; and Huipi- most traditional blouse, made by indigenous in 3-6 months.
