Canada: Stampeders of '98
From Dyea and Skagway, Alaska, thousands of gold seekers climbed the Chilkoot Trail on their way to the Klondike Goldfields and Dawson City.

Gold was discovered on Bonanza Creek August 16, 1896 by George Carmack, Skookum Jim and Tagish Charlie. This event sparked the Great Klondike Gold Rush.
